Info about me:

I am currently a Master's student at UC Davis in the Soils and Biogeochemistry Graduate Group. I am looking at naturally occurring asbestos in soils through mineralogical, micro-morphological, and dust generation studies. I am also interested in creating a GIS model to predict the presence, location and problematic areas more likely to contain asbestos in soils across California.

Before attending UC Davis I worked for NRCS as a Soil Scientist for 3 ½ years on the Pinnacles National Monument and Santa Clara Area Soil Surveys before arriving at UC Davis. During the summer of 2009, I was the Teaching Assistant for the Field Studies of Soil Resources course (Soil Science 105/205 – Southern California). During my time here I also created a general soils map of landscape age for the California Central Valley. Finally, I am very actively involved in the departmental outreach program activities.
